The overall goal is to connect different people from the horticul-tural sector across the world to:
  • create the possibility to the participant organizations to establish new strategic R&D partnerships / alliances
  • discuss project ideas seeking for partners among scientific institutions and private companies
  • facilitate knowledge sharing and technology transfer
  • promote the international exploitation of research results
  • develop relationships and encourage networking in the horticultural sector
  • The Horticulture Brokerage Event 2010 is the ideal environment to promote strategic partnerships to explore innovative R&D results and develop new technologies.
    Amongst others, the Brokerage Event welcomes researchers, technical staff and managers from:
  • Small, medium or large private companies
  • Universities and research institutes
  • Governmental agencies and public institutes
  • Start-up companies
  • The Brokerage Event will bring together suppliers and users of know-how and innovative technologies to discuss solutions and new opportunities for the future.
    1. In the Brokerage registration form participants fill a profile with technology offer(s) /request(s) or fields of interest.
    2. These profiles will be published in a catalogue which will be available to registered participants to identify potential partners and request bilateral meetings.
    3. The catalogue will be available in a restricted area of the IHC site, which can only be accessed with participants ‘user name’ and ‘password’.
    4. The matching between participants will be made through keywords available at the profile form. The system will match participant profiles and send an email with a proposed meetings schedule. Participants select (accept or reject) the proposed meetings.
    5. Alternatively, participants can also propose to meet other participants.
    6. Participants receive a final personalized meeting schedule: who where and when.
    7. All meetings will take place in the Horticulture Brokerage Event 2010 Lounge.
    8. The working language is English.
